Meet the dedicated individuals who make up the team at Elevated Properties. Locally owned and operated, our company was founded on the importance of personal, customized service for both guests and owners. As an owner, enjoy peace of mind knowing your property is cared for by dedicated, onsite management. As a guest, elevate your Steamboat vacation with true ski-in, ski-out access at Bear Claw or Edgemont Condominiums, or the comfort of a private home conveniently located in town. From sales and guest services to operations and housekeeping, the team below makes it all happen.
Team Members
Jamie Daniels
Role: Owner / President
Jamie and her husband, Jeff, first visited—and fell in love with—Steamboat in 1994. Six years later, they made it home. Raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, and educated in Pennsylvania, Jamie began working at Bear Claw in 2000 and discovered her passion. Since 2020, she has been honored to own Elevated Properties and is proud to continue a tradition of personalized, high-end property care for owners and guests. Jamie and her family love exploring Steamboat and traveling—usually somewhere with water.

Maggie Stepan
Role: General Manager
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Maggie has called Steamboat Springs home since 2007. From working lifts to roles in reservations and eCommerce, her career is rooted in hospitality and connection. She joined Elevated Properties in March 2020 and values working closely with homeowners and guests. Off the clock, she skis in winter, backpacks and travels in summer, and loves cooking with her husband, Max—often something spicy.

Blane Joyner
Role: Controller & HR Manager
Blane grew up in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. He moved to Steamboat in 2004 for a seasonal finance role and never looked back, later spending 12 years at Smartwool. After time in the Pacific Northwest, he returned to Steamboat. He enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and time with his wife and their small dog.

Dan Raphael
Role: Director of Hospitality & Revenue
Dan settled in Steamboat after hiking the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails. Before joining in 2019, he held sales roles in fashion eCommerce, real estate startups, and IaaS hardware. A longtime youth outdoor educator, he loves sharing knowledge of the outdoors. In summer, you’ll find him wandering Colorado’s parks or fly fishing the local rivers with his wife.

Taylor McConnell
Role: Sales & Marketing Coordinator
A Colorado native from Centennial, Taylor graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Communications. She moved to Steamboat in 2018 and later to Charleston, South Carolina, where she works remotely for the team. She enjoys happy hours, fly fishing, exploring local shops, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.

Erin Kinney
Role: Sales & Concierge Representative
Originally from Michigan, Erin moved to Colorado to study Environmental Science at the University of Colorado. After time in the Roaring Fork Valley traveling and spending time with family, she moved to Steamboat to be with her now-husband and apply her background in an environmental testing lab. She’s known for organization and friendly communication. Outside work, she’s often skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, dirt biking, backpacking, or camping with her poodle, Merlin.

Jocelyn Volkmar
Role: Manager of Guest & Owner Services
From College Station, Texas, Jocelyn moved to Colorado in 2023 and to Steamboat Springs in summer 2025. She brings customer service, administrative, and marketing experience across industries from local breweries to tech. In her free time, she’s by the river, learning to ski, cooking, or working on a crochet project.

Jessica Lackey
Role: Manager
Jessica joined the team in August 2021 after moving from Texas. A 2018 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a B.S. in Hospitality Administration, she previously served as the executive director of Millard’s Crossing Historic Village and worked with municipal departments and a hotel in marketing and public relations. She enjoys crafting, reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her family.
Angelica Maldonado
Role: Housekeeping Manager
Angelica moved to Steamboat Springs in 1998 and is the proud mother of three adult children. She developed her expertise as a housekeeping manager at Chateau Chamonix and has devoted over 20 years to the profession. After a brief time in Texas, she returned to Steamboat to continue doing what she loves—cleaning and mentoring others in housekeeping.
Nate Johnson
Role: Maintenance Manager
Nate hails from Craig, Colorado. A former Marine and union-trained master plumber and journeyman pipe fitter, he brings decades of hands-on experience, from high-end homes to nuclear power plants and hospitals. His deep knowledge of building systems is second to none. Outside of work, he’s an avid free climber, mountaineer, and wilderness survival enthusiast who often disappears into the mountains for weeks at a time.
